As many as 21 Takfiris were killed and 16 explosive charges were defused during the ongoing military operations in North Sinai on Friday, said Military Spokesman Mohamed Samir.
Some 40 motorbikes used by terrorists in Sinai were also destroyed by the military troops, backed by the Artillery and Air Forces, said the spokesman in a press release.
The artillery also shelled 24 Takfiri hideouts in Sinai today, the spokesman added.
The statement concluded by asserting that the army will continue its mission in Sinai till uprooting terrorism and purging it of all terrorist elements.
