
Deputy Minister of Finance for the public treasury and head of the Economic Justice unit Mohamed Meit said Tuesday the ministry would take some measures to put a cooperation protocol singed with the French government in the field of social protection into effect.
The vice minister said the cooperation protocol aims to boost cooperation between Egypt and France in the field of economic justice by strengthening the Egyptian government's 2030 vision regarding the application of a national strategy and to improve and extend the social and health care in line with international standards for all citizens without discrimination.
He added that the protocol includes the exchange of experiences and studies in the field of social health protection, promoting communication between government agencies of the two countries involved in the field of public health, providing a comprehensive health coverage, encouraging partnerships between the Egyptian and French governments in the areas of health care, and providing financial and technical support for those in charge of implementing the new comprehensive social health insurance system.
