
Morocco has welcomed the parliamentary and municipal elections, which were held successfully in Bahrain.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation hailed the high voter turn-out, which reflected the strong desire of the people of Bahrain to consolidate the democratic process in line with the reform vision championed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
In a statement posted on Moroccan News Agency, it extended sincere congratulations on the successful polls and affirmed support to Bahrain in its steps to anchor democratic openness, bolster national institutions and strengthen the bases of consensus and cohesion between all segments, for stability, social peace and development to prevail.
