
Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi has underlined the necessity of maintaining peace during planned protests on Sunday. The call during a meeting Saturday between the Egyptian leader and a number of representatives of Islamist parties and powers to discuss means of solving the current domestic crisis. Morsi also underlined the duty of the state institutions to protect the Egyptians and secure public and private property, the presidency said. During the meeting, Islamist representatives stressed their support for legitimacy and for holding the parliamentary elections to overcome the current political crisis. Among attendees in Saturday's meeting were representatives of the Freedom and Justice party, El-Nour party, the Building and Development party, Raya party, Al-Wasat party and Al-Watan party.
