Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the United States, Adel al Jubeir said that the Operation Decisive Storm hit hard on the Houthi militant group and destroyed many vital facilities used by the group and its allies.
The Saudi-led coalition provided the popular committees in Yemen with arms to fight the Houthis. It also facilitated retake positions from the militant group, Jubeir said at a presser on Wednesday.
The ambassador hailed the UN Security Council resolution imposing an arms embargo on the Houthi militant group.
He noted that the coalition's current focus is on the humanitarian situation, noting that a number of relief shipments arrived in the war-torn Yemen in the past few days.
"We seek to resolve the Yemeni crisis as soon as possible," he said.
The Saudi diplomat asserted that his country has no ambitions beyond its borders, and its interference in Yemen was to preserve its security and stability.
