Egypt's Mufti Shawky Allam deplored as heinous the kidnapping of 21 Egyptians by Daesh group in Libya.
"Those ignorant people and their heinous deeds that are rejected by the good human instinct are more dangerous to Islam than its enemies," the Mufti said.
"They give opportunity to the enemies of Islam to cement the distorted image on Islam in the minds of people particularly in the West," he added.
He called on all Arab, Islamic countries and other states to combat firmly those criminals.
He cited Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad that prohibit these terrorist acts.
