
Muharraq Club has denounced the Iranian blatant and recurrent interference in Bahrain's internal affairs which contravenes the principles of good neighbourliness, international laws and covenants and the charter of the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
In a statement issued today, the club reiterated categorical rejections of the Iranian interference, demanding Iran to stop the statements which aim to incite and stoke tension in Bahrain . It also condemned attempts by some mislead people to undermine civil peace by transgressing the law and legitimacy which guarantee freedom of expression through constitutional institutions and channels.
It also underlined the need to maintain national security and safety by adhering to the laws which safeguard citizens' right for freedom of expression within the framework of existing institutions.
The Club underscored loyalty and support to the leadership in their dedicated and unflinching efforts to boost citizens' welfare, commending the national stance in protecting hard-won achievements on the path of development and democracy. It also lauded the Interior Ministry's efforts to thwart terror plots and ensure security for all people in Bahrain . It urged all institutions to continue confronting decisively all destructive attempts in order to protect the nation and its accomplishments.
