
The Muharraq Municipality has won the Best Municipality Award in the kingdom, as part of Al-Khalidiya awards for service and municipal works, organised by Al-Khalidiya Youth Society, as a result of the distinguished services it provides for the citizens and residents.
The award adds to the city’s rich record of honourable achievements, including the UN-Habitat Award and HRH Premier’s Award for Municipal Work.
Director-General of the Muharraq Municipality Salah bin Ebrahim Al-Fadhala congratulated th Muharraq citizens for the new achievement attained by their city.
He extended sincere congratulations to Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Services and Utilities Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla for his winning of the Best Supporter of Municipal Work Award thanks to his tremendous efforts to upgrade municipal work in the kingdom, in line with the directives of HRH the Prime Minister, the first supporter of municipal work in the kingdom.
Al-Fadhala also congratulated the Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Dr. Juma’a bin Ahmed Al-Ka’abi for winning t he Best Service Official Award in the kingdom.
