Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa said on Sunday that the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group seeks to exploit the Mina stampede incident to damage relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
In a press conference, Gomaa vowed to take action to foil such plots.
He further thanked Saudi authorities for their great efforts to serve pilgrims.
Gomaa underlined that Saudi-Egyptian relations are strong and deeply-rooted.
The Hajj stampede, that left hundreds of pilgrims outside Mecca dead, is the deadliest in 25 years.
