The mutual visits between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and King Abdullah II reflect the deep relations binding the two nations, said spokesman for the Jordanian government Mohamed Momani on Thursday.
The visits also show the two leaders' keenness on exchanging views towards regional developments, he told MENA.
This is Sisi's first visit to the kingdom since assuming post in June.
King Abdullah is keen to consult Sisi over many issues related to the Syrian, Palestinian and Iraqi crises as well as regional and international efforts to fight terror, he said.
"Jordan looks to Egypt as a key and pivotal country in the region and it is always keen to coordinate with it towards many issues," he said."Jordan hopes that Egypt restores its status in the region and the world soon."
He expressed the kingdom's support of all efforts taken by Egypt to fight terrorism and achieve security.
He stressed that Egyptian-Jordanian relations are progressing, expecting that they witness a major development within the coming period.
