
The Al Sarh Al Masry Party held a press conference Saturday to announce the launch of a "Nedaa Misr" Coalition.
Representatives of nine political movements attended the conference
It is an important and a timely move coming ahead of the parliamentary elections, said Tareq Zidan, the chairman of the Egyptian Revolution Party and the official spokesman for the nascent coalition, in a statement.
The coalition groups the Arab Party for Justice and Equality, Al Sarh, the Egyptian Revolution Party, the Socialist Labor Party, the New Independent Party, the Human and Civil Rights party and the Umma Party.
A number of youth and revolutionary movements have also joined the coalition
