The Ministry of Planning held a series of workshops and seminars on the "sustainable development strategy: Egypt's vision 2030" that will be put into effect as of January 2016.
Experts and academics attended the workshops along with representatives of the private sector and civil society.
The workshops - held from August 31 to September 10 - coincided with the launch of the post 2015 development agenda of the United Nations.
The strategy has a timetable, a criteria for assessing performance and a follow-up mechanism.
The strategy also covers several domains, including economic development, energy, environment, education, social justice, foreign and domestic policies and culture.
