Newly-sworn in Jordanian Prime Minister and Defense Minister Hani Mulki said his government will commit to continuing the promotion of the country's international standing that it had achieved through its internationally well-respected diplomacy.
In the government's statement to King Abdullah II in response to the assignment, Mulki said the government will continue to provide all forms of support to the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people to establish an independent state on their nation's land.
The government will give special care to holy sites in Al Quds out of its religious and historical responsibility, he said.
It will also continue efforts to fight terrorism and defend Islam and its tolerant values, he added.
