
The Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission (Fatwa)'s CEO Attorney Abdullah Hassan Al-Buainain said that the executive code of the new Traffic Law has almost been finalized and will become effective on February 8, according to the Official Gazette.
Al-Buainain said that the new law observes the current needs and requirements.
He told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the new traffic law which includes about 62 articles will add more organizational frames to traffic regulations in the Kingdom, especially as it was adequately discussed in parliament and drew significant attention considering its importance and direct connection with citizens' and residents' everyday life.
He said that the new Traffic Law reflects the current requirements of traffic regulations and stipulates the establishment of driver training schools reliant upon a resolution from the competent minister.
