The new diplomatic nominations will be announced officially the coming week, Foreign Minister Mongi Hamdi said.
Hamdi denied the existence of corruption related to diplomat Ghazi Jomaa brother of the Prime Minister.
“Ghazi Jomaa is diplomat and his file does not include any suspicion of corruption,” he specified.
In another connection, Hamdi underlined the weak presence of Tunisia in Africa with only 6 embassies. The Ministry, he added, proposes the opening of 6 new embassies over this continent which is experiencing an exceptional economic revival.
Concerning relation with Egypt, he noted that the two countries face the same security challenges, notably, concerning the terrorist danger.
In this connection, he recommended to carry on co-ordination between the two countries, reminding that Egypt was among the countries which took part in Libya’s friends congress held last July in Hammamet.
