Northern Governor Ali bin Al-Sheikh Abdulhussain Al-Asfoor condemned the terror blasts which left one policeman and a citizen dead in Damistan and Karzakan. In a statement today, he extended condolences to the bereaved families of the two victims as well as Bahraini society on this tragic incident.
He denounced the evil killings, acts of terror, sabotage and the terrorization of innocent civilians which aim undermining national unity and disrupting stability and social peace. "These heinous acts have been perpetrated as Bahrain is gearing up to celebrate the National Day and the Accession of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to the throne", he said.
The Governor expressed confidence in the ability of Bahrainis to foil such heinous acts, which are alien to their peace-loving society, stand united and protect their country from any evil ideas which contravene Islam and the law.
He urged the civil society institutions, scholars and intellectuals to rally against the terrorist crimes and heinous killings, praying to Allah Almighty to protect the King, Government and people and bless Bahrain with security and stability.
