The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has underlined the need for all external parties not to intervene in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain in line with the OIC Charter, which calls for respecting the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Member States and noninterference in their internal affairs.
In a statement on its website, "the OIC General Secretariat stressed that it follows with satisfaction the efforts exerted by the Government of Bahrain to establish the institutions and rule of law and promoting the exercise by the Bahraini citizens of all their legitimate rights. The OIC urged all stakeholders in the country to place the high interests of Bahrain and its people ahead of all other considerations."
