The organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) called Friday for a truce amongst parties involved in the Syrian crisis during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The OIC said in a statement today that such truce would enable to reduce human casualties to a minimum, adding that it would also facilitate the movement of relief aid workers within Syria.
OIC Secretary General Iyad bin Amin Madani called on the international community to use all its resources to halt the military might of the Syrian regime which is wreaking havoc in the land.
He added that imposing the truce during Ramadan could contribute to the end of war in Syria.
