
Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Madani met Sunday with Oman's Deputy Prime Minister Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said and Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah separately. Madani said in a statement his visit to the Sultanate came to thank Sultan Qaboos bin Said and leaderships of Oman for supporting his appointment as secretary-general of the organization. During their meetings, they discussed challenges faced by the Muslim world regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque, the situation in Syria, northern Mali and Central Africa Republic as well as the situation in Myanmar and all other areas facing political challenges.
