The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani condemned the parliamentary elections to be held in occupied Nagorno-Karabakh province, which is affiliated to Azerbaijan, on May 3.
These elections are considered illegitimate and contradict with the decisions issued by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the OIC and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
Madani called on the international community to deplore this process, adding that his organization supports the efforts of Azerbaijan in finding a peaceful solution to the regional conflict.
