OIC secretary general supports political dialogue in Morocco

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General, Iyad Ameen Madani expressed his support for the political dialogue among Libyan parties taking place in Morocco, aimed at finding a consensual political solution to end the Libyan crisis starting with the formation of a government of national unity as a key step for the return of security and stability to Libya.
Madani called on all political parties to make concerted efforts in order to preserve the security and stability of Libya and to place the country’s higher interest and unity of its people and territory above all other considerations.
He reiterated the readiness of the OIC to deploy all efforts to assist the Libyan parties to find a consensual political solution to the situation in Libya.
