
Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad bin Amin Madani will take part in a summit on terrorism in Africa, due to be held by the Peace and Security Council of the African Union in the Kenyan capital Nairobi tomorrow.
The OIC Secretary-General will give a speech at the the Summit on the importance of addressing the root causes of terrorism and will emphasize that the acts committed by groups such as Boko Haram and Daash have nothing to do with Islam and its principles.
Madani and his accompanying delegation will head from Nairobi to the Ugandan capital, Kampala on a two-day official visit for talks with Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and senior officials there. He will also visit the campus of the Islamic University in Uganda.
