OIC, Sudanese FM confer on means to boost joint work

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Iyad Madani conferred with Sudanese Foreign Minister Ahmed Karti on means to boost joint Islamic work.

The meeting also took up the preparations for the ministerial meeting due in Kuwait May 27-28 and the extraordinary Islamic summit on Palestine.

During the meeting, Karti delivered an invitation to Madani to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Sudanese President Omar el Bashir in Khartoum on June 2, according to an OIC statement.

Both sides asserted the necessity to intensify efforts to face terror, extremism and hate speech.

On the other hand, Madani will attend the official inauguration of the 14th round Arab Media Forum in Dubai Tuesday.
