
The four-day meetings of the 37th round of the Arab Commission for Human Rights, led by Omani Mohammad bin Sulaiman Al-Rashidi, launched its proceedings here on Sunday.
Representatives of Arab countries and NGOs concerned with human rights attended the meeting.
The meetings are planned to discuss the implementation of the outcomes of the last round, setting an Arab guide against torture and an Arab project that criminalizes defamation of religions as well as studying a proposal aiming to set an Arab-regional strategy for human rights.
The meeting also will review a paper concerning celebrating the 16th of March every year as the Arab Day for Human Rights.
