An operations room has been formed to follow up security conditions in Minya governorate and receive reports in case of any violence or terrorist acts, said Minya Governor Salah el Din Zeyada.
In statements Sunday, the governor said that the all executive and security bodies are in a state of maximum readiness, in preparation of the fourth anniversary of the January 25 Revolution.
All the necessary security measures have been taken, he added, noting that police and army forces are deployed at the main squares.
Security forces will deal with the utmost firmness and decisiveness against any attempts to spread chaos in the streets, he affirmed.
