
The Indonesian government invited permanent members of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to attend the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) 5th extraordinary summit on Palestine.
Scheduled for Sunday in Jakarta, the summit will be attended by United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov along with members of the Quartet Group on the Palestine-Israel Peace Process Negotiation.
They will get acquainted with the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories in light of ongoing Israeli agression and violations.
For his part, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madan raised the issue with several world leaders including European foreign ministers and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon who reiterated his rejection of the Israeli occupation.
