Orthodox Church launches initiative to encourage tourism in Egypt

The Orthodox Church in Egypt launched an initiative to promote for tourism in Egypt under the title of "Great is my Country"

In a statement released on Monday, the Orthodox Church called on Egyptian expatriates to organize tourist trips to Egypt to enjoy its great history and civilization.

The statement said the world is valuing the status of Egypt where great civilizations have been mixed up and interacted from the eras of the Pharaohs to the Greek, Roman, Coptic and Islamic till the modern age.

The Church also called on Egyptians at home to organize entertainment tours in Egypt's tourist destinations, noting that the initiative is emanating from the church's national responsibility towards Egypt
