The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said in its weekly report on Sunday that the number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon rose to 85,239, an increase of about 39,950 refugees in more than two months. According to the report, the number of registered Syrian refugees in Lebanon reached 60,089, in addition to 25,150 waiting for their registration. Separately, there are 33,549 registered Syrian refugees in north Lebanon, 24,905 in the Bekaa and 1,635 in Beirut and south Lebanon. The agency also warned of a looming refugee crisis due to the lack of funding.
