Owner of vehicle used in national security building blast found

Security authorities managed to reach the owner of a vehicle used in an explosion that targeted the national security building in Shubra el Kheima district of Qalubiya governorate, a security source said on Friday.

The source added that the authorities will question the owner to find out more information concerning the blast.

The vehicle used in the explosion was a white truck from Alexandria, he added.

The building's CCTV recorded the perpetrator while parking the truck and departing it then riding a motorcycle that was waiting for him immediately before the explosion.

In the wee hours of Thursday, a huge explosion occurred outside the national security branch of Shubra el Kheima, Qalyubia, when a booby trapped car exploded outside the four-storey building. Many nearby buildings were damaged.
