
Palestine and Jordan have agreed on presenting a draft resolution to the UN Security Council, demanding international protection for the Palestinian people and an end to the Israeli occupation, said media in Jordan on Monday.
The planned step was decided in a phone call between Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat and Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh.
They decided also to coordinate and move at all levels in this regard.
The step following an arson attack by Jewish settlers on a Palestinian family in the occupied West Bank, burning to death a toddler and injuring other members.
The attack has attracted international condemnation. It triggered violent protests which Palestinians were killed and wounded.
