
Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Gamal el-Shobiky termed a meeting between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Palestinian opposite number Mahmoud Abbas as important and distinguished.
The meeting took up all the issues of mutual interest especially at the Palestinian arena.
In statements Sunday, Shobiky said that Abbas apprised Sisi on the results of the international communications and efforts exerted at the UNSC to determine a deadline to end the Israeli occupation.
During the meeting, Sisi asserted that the Palestinian cause is a top priority in the Egyptian foreign policy, he said.
Sisi also asserted that solving the Palestinian problem will be a cornerstone to achieve security and stability in the Middle East, he added.
During the get-together, Abbas lauded the Egyptian efforts exerted internationally to defend the Palestinian case.
