
The Director General of the Social Security Corporation, Nadia Rawabdeh, expressed the institute's readiness to place its technical and insurance potentials and expertise at the service of the Palestinian people.
During a meeting with an official Palestinian delegation representing the Steering Committee of the Palestinian Social Security, Rawabdeh stressed keenness to help Palestinians in various domains that would develop and improve the protection level, services, procedures and mechanisms relating to social security.
She said that joint cooperation and coordination among all social insurance institutions in the Arab world will develop these institutions’ functions in a way that serves their subscribers and raises the level of social protections.
She also briefed the delegation on the Corporation's procedures relating to the reform of social security act, justifications, amendments and their guaranteed insurance benefits, highlighting the institution's efforts to restructure Social Security in order to make it effective in the Jordanian society and promote the principles of protection, social justice and ensure the sustainability of the insurance system to serve subscribers over generations.
The head of the delegation, the undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Labour, Nasser Kitami, voiced the Corporation's role in supporting the Palestinian Pension Authority in the past, noting that the visit aims at taking a firsthand look at the Jordanian expertise in social security and familiarizing with the Corporation’s duties, functions and procedures.
The International Labour Organization's representative, Munir Kulaibo, voiced appreciation of the Security Corporation deploying its expertise in the field of security and insurance in the service of the Palestinian delegation.
