Palestinian Religious Endowments Minister, Yousef Adeis, on Monady hailed the UAE's support for the Palestinian people and the process of development, and said the UAE charities sponsor thousands of Palestinian orphans.
In statements during his visit to the office of the UAE's Human International Appeal (HAI) in Jenin, northern West Bank, Adeis said the UAE's support enabled the Palestinians to overcome the economic hardships.
HAI alone sponsors some 20,000 Palestinian orphans, the Palestinian minister noted adding that the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) also sponsors thousands of orphans in the Palestinian territories and provides relief and development aid for the health and education sectors in several cities and towns.
"The UAE's interest (in supporting Palestinians) is very clear for each and every Palestinian in Jerusalem and the rest of the Palestinian territories. HAI is making intensified efforts to provide aid for needy Palestinian families. It also sponsors thousands of orphans and contribute to several humanitarian projects in the Palestinian territories," added Minister Adies.
