
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki met with the UN Deputy Secretary General Jan Eliasson on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, held in Germany.
The two sides discussed during the meeting, the process of reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and the role of the United Nations and the needs of United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
Maliki also met on the sidelines of the conference, the foreign ministers of Luxembourg, Austria and Italy and briefed them on the latest developments in the occupied territories, and the ongoing violations by the occupation authorities against the Palestinian people, especially in Jerusalem and Israel's move to freeze the transfer of tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority.
