Palestinian national council speaker calls for Arab , international parliamentarym ove to support palestinian cause

The Speaker of the Palestinian National Council (PNC) Salim Zanoun stressed the necessity for activating role of Arab parliamentary diplomacy along with regional and international parliamentary unions to support the Palestinian cause and expose Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people.
In his keynote speech today at the First Conference of Speakers of the Arab Parliaments being held in Cairo, Zanoun urged the Arab Parliament Speakers to send Arab parliamentary delegations to the occupied Palestinian territories to get acquainted on Israeli aggressive policies, racist laws that approved by the Israeli Knesset and their serious violations to charter and regulations of the international Inter-Parliamentary Union and international treaties and principles of human rights , while emphasizing the right of the Palestinian people to return and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital on based on the pre-June 1967 borders .
He urged the participants to work urgently with the Arab governments in order to secure financial support to the families of Palestinian martyrs to rebuild their homes that have been destroyed along with developing an Arab parliamentary action plan to explain the issue of prisoners and detainees at various parliamentary forums and demanding their release, including parliamentarian prisoners and intervening for immediate release of Journalist Mohammad Al-Qeiq, who has been on hunger strike for 92 days and the release of martyrs’ bodies have been held by Israel.
Speaker of PNC called on the Arab parliaments Speakers to take immediate and urgent action via activating the Arab financial funds to maintain Jerusalem , Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic and Christian holy sites .
Zanoun also called for urgently international intervention to impose its will on the settler and support the Palestinian efforts to hold an international peace conference to find a binding mechanism for the implementation of international legitimacy resolutions and to go to the UN Security Council regarding the settlement , especially the territories of the Palestinian state being plundered every day
