
Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal praised the influential role of the civil society organizations (CSOs) in achieving sustainable development on all fronts concerning the Egyptian citizen.
This came during the Egyptian speaker's visit to the Heliopolis Association headquarters. He and his accompanying parliamentary delegation were welcomed by Secretary General of the Society Nabil Helmi and Director General of the Society Bahgat Shaker and the board members.
ِThe Egyptian speaker praised the role of Heliopolis Association chaired by Farouk el Gohari in society action and its participation in achieving the development goals of the state.
Meanwhile, Nabil Helmi expressed his appreciation for Abdel Aal's visit, describing it as a "strong message" of the state's belief in the role of the civil societies that should work alongside the state foundations.
The Heliopolis association has recently taken part in financially supporting the rehabilitation of some shanty areas in Cairo and signed a protocol with Cairo governorate in this regard.
The Heliopolis Association is a non-governmental organization serving the society through various major development projects.
