An anti-illegal immigration draft law has been recently approved by the cabinet, Chairperson of the National Coordinating Committee for Combating and Preventing illegal Migration Naela Gabr said on Sunday.
Speaking to MENA, Gabr said the bill, drafted in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, will be reviewed by the parliament soon before approval.
She noted that a delegation of the committee visited Italy in the past period to get acquainted with the best practices in the field of the protection of migrants, particularly children.
Gabr added that the visit will contribute to outlining Egypt's 2016-2018 national strategy for the prevention of illegal immigration.
