Pick-up truck runs into closed level crossing, collides with train

A pick-up truck ran into el Garf level crossing - which was closed - and collided with the Aswan-Cairo train, the Egyptian National Railways (ENR) said.
In a statement on Tuesday, the ENR said the accident took place between Deirot and Deirmawas stations in the Upper Egypt city of Assiut.
The car driver was injured and the train suffered slight damage, the statement said.
The ENR urged drivers to stop while the level crossing is closed for their own safety.
