A high-ranking Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) delegation is to head to Syria on Monday to resolve the crisis in Yarmuk refugee camp south of Damascus, official said Saturday.
Ahmad Majdalani, a PLO official, told Xinhua that the delegation is on a three-day mission to follow up the coordination with the Syrian government and the humanitarian organizations to resolve the deteriorating crisis there.
"The delegation's visit is part of the ongoing efforts to put an end to the ongoing humanitarian deterioration in the Palestinian refugee camp and its Palestinian populations."
Majdalani has been visiting Syria frequently and in contact with the Syrian government officials to find a solution to the Palestinians, who live under hard living situation in the refugee camp.
The humanitarian crisis has mounted in the refugee camp three weeks ago after the militias of Daesh stormed the camp and fierce fighting broke out with other militant groups in the camp.
The PLO executive committee had earlier called for avoiding any violent confrontation in the refugee camp to save the life of tens of thousands of refugees in the camp.
However, Majdalani explained that a military solution is the only remaining solution right now to resolve the crisis in al-Yarmuk refugee camp, whether the Palestinians accepted or not, adding that "I rule out that there will be a political solution soon."
