
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail led on Wednesday the military funeral of the two judges who were killed in el Arish terrorist attack on Tuesday.
In addition to the two judges, five policemen and one civilian were also killed in the attack that targeted Swiss Inn hotel in el Arish.
The two judges were members of the judicial committee overseeing the second round of parliamentary elections in Arish.
Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi, Justice Minister Ahmed el Zend in addition to a number of army commanders and members of judicial bodies also took part in the funeral.
The mourners stressed that such heinous attacks would not undermine the Egyptians' will to uproot terrorism and extremism.
A car laden with explosives approached the entrance of Swiss Inn hotel in Arish on Tuesday. Security guards opened fire and the vehicle blew up.
Separately two attackers entered the building, one detonated a suicide vest in the kitchen while the other opened fire in a room.
