The car park is considered a turning point in changing the area of Downtown and Tahrir Square, Mahlab said during the opening, which was attended also by a host of ministers.
The Cairo governor, for his part, underlined the importance of this mega project, saying that it will improve traffic flow and safety in the area, said the Cairo governor.
The car park is built on 20,000 square meters of land and is expected to hold 1,700 cars and 24 buses. It consists of four underground floors and cost about 675 million pounds.
