Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab congratulated Wednesday newly-appointed Justice Minister Counselor Ahmed el Zend, who was sworn in before President Abdel Fattah El Sisi earlier in the day, on his new post, wishing him more success.
The premier, at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, thanked former justice minister Mahfouz Saber on all efforts he exerted while presiding over the Justice Ministry.
Saber resigned following his controversial statements that the son of a waste collector cannot be appointed a judge.
Mahlab urged all ministers to pay more field visits to listen to citizens' complains and solve them.
Mahlab asked Education Minister Mohab Rafaei to follow the implementation of school maintenance program and to make sure that all school books are printed before the start of the new academic year.
Achieving discipline inside schools, maintenance and school book printing are top three priorities that should be on the ministry's agenda, he added.
