Prime Minister Sherif Ismail stressed Saturday that the cabinet is keen on returning life to normal in Ras Gharib and offering compensations to those affected by the floods.
The prime minister's remarks came during his visit to the Red Sea governorate.
Ismail listened to the demands of the governorate's MPs who asked the irrigation minister to immediately establish three dams in Ras Gharib before the next winter to alleviate the negative effects of the floods.
Ismail said that he received a phone call from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who gave directives to take necessary measures so as to support those affected by the floods and offer them compensations.
