Police in Beheira arrested on Monday seven members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood over carrying out terrorist and subversive acts in the governorate.
The seven MB members had formed a terrorist cell that received training to make explosive charges, according to investigations.
The cell was responsible for a number of bombings in the province.
The suspects admitted that they planted a bomb under a car in the vicinity of Itay el Barood court on July 7 that went off, injuring five people and damaging two cars.
They also confessed to detonating an explosive device near a police station in the same city, causing no casualties.
The MB group has been announced by the state as a terrorist organization, blaming it for a string of terrorist blasts and attacks across the country.
