
The security forces dispersed a rally Saturday at Abdel Monem Riad Square, downtown Cairo, after members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group joined the gatherings.
According to a statement by the Interior Ministry, the security forces dispersed the rally after clashes erupted between the MB members and the protesters.
The MB members chanted slogans attacking police and the army and hurled stones at the security forces, read the statement.
The protesters received warning before the dispersal, the ministry pointed out.
The police used tear-gas bombs to disperse the demonstrators, said MENA reporter.
