
The Public Security Sector at the Interior Ministry and security forces in Ismailia launched a wide-scale clampdown on Tuesday in two districts of the governorate.
The campaign, which was carried out upon directives of Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar, is aimed at combating all forms of crime and arresting outlaws and fugitives.
The crackdown resulted in seizing six unlicensed firearms, three automatic rifles, 1,174 of various rounds, two kilograms of Heroin and 94 kilograms of Hashish and 220 narcotic pills.
The security forces nabbed 33 fugitives, confiscated five stolen cars and also rounded up three dangerous elements who are wanted in several cases.
