
The Public Security Sector at the Interior Ministry continued its nationwide campaigns to arrest outlaws and holders of unlicensed weapons and to restore security.
The campaigns, which were launched upon directives of Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghafar, resulted in seizing 183 unlicensed weapons and arresting eight gangs over the past 24 hours.
It also resulted in seizing 227 pieces of cold weapons, 332 drug cases and 615 unlicensed motorcycles, and nabbing 94 fugitives.
The forces also returned four stolen cars and seized 429 bullets.
Meanwhile, eleven people were arrested over committing burglary crimes and possessing two guns and nine pieces of cold weapons.
The security apparatuses notified the prosecution to open probes.
