
President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika held Wednesday in Algiers discussions with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
The discussions took place in the presence of the Speaker of the Council of the Nation (Upper House of Parliament) Abdelkader Bensalah, Prime Minister Abdelamelk Sellal and Energy Minister Youcef Yousfi.
El-Sisi arrived in Algiers for a brief working visit at the invitation of President Bouteflika.
Upon his arrival, Egyptian president said in a statement to the press that his visit aims at “reaching a real understanding and a joint vision of the common interests and the challenges at the bilateral and regional levels.”
