Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said Wednesday that the economic reform program represented one of the most challenges that face the government program, along with the social justice issue and developing the services provided to the citizens.
Ismail said the government wished to meet the aspirations of the Egyptian people and political leadership through its program.
The prime minister's remarks came during the cabinet's meeting after the government's program was passed in the House of the Representatives by 433 votes in favor.
Ismail said all the bills would be introduced to the parliament on time and as they were previously scheduled for consultations.
The government targets 5.2 percent growth rate in its first year, followed by six percent in the second year, and more than six percent in the years to follow.
