
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting Thursday night to follow up progress realized so far by the Egyptian Company for Agricultural and Rural Development regarding the 1.5-million-feddan project.
Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qaweesh said on Friday that the project is one of the most important mammoth development projects.
Mega companies are expected to contribute to the project alongside medium-sized firms and individuals, he said.
The project will realize comprehensive development in the desert area away from the Delta, he said.
During the meeting, the company's board chairman presented a report on progress realized so far in the project, as well as the company's plans for the coming period.
